Case Background

On March 9, 2021, Sundance Energy, Inc. and 3 affiliated debtors (collectively, the "Debtors") each filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, Houston Division.  The cases were before the Honorable David R. Jones and were jointly administered under Case No. 21-30882.

Pursuant to an order of the Court dated May 25, 2021, the cases of SEA Eagle Ford, LLC, Sundance Energy, Inc., and Armadillo E&P, Inc. are now closed.  

Pursuant to an order of the Court dated November 16, 2021, the case of Sundance Energy Inc. is now closed.

 

Important Information & Dates

Plan and Disclosure Statement

On March 10, 2021, the Debtors filed a joint prepackaged plan of reorganization (the "Plan") and a proposed disclosure statement (the "Disclosure Statement"). A combined hearing to consider, among other matters, the adequacy of the Disclosure Statement and confirmation of the Plan (the "Combined Hearing") was held on April 19, 2021, and an order confirming the Plan was entered that day. The Effective Date of the Plan occurred on April 23, 2021.

First Day Hearing

A hearing on the Debtors' First Day Motions was held on March 10, 2021 before the Honorable David R. Jones, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, Courtroom 400, 4th Floor, 515 Rusk Street, Houston, Texas 77002. A final hearing on certain of the First Day Motions was held on April 19, 2021.

Attending the Combined Hearing and Final Hearing on Certain First Day Motions
