Case Background

On July 27, 2020, Remington Outdoor Company, Inc. and 12 affiliated debtors (collectively, the "Debtors") each filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Alabama.  The cases are pending before the Honorable Clifton R. Jessup Jr. and are jointly administered under Case No. 20-81688.

Important Information & Dates

Plan & Disclosure Statement

On January 25, 2021, the Debtors filed their Plan of Reorganization and the Disclosure Statement related thereto. The Bankruptcy Court held a hearing to consider approval of the Disclosure Statement on February 1, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. (CT).  On February 2, 2021, the Bankruptcy Court entered an order conditionally approving the Disclosure Statement.  The Bankruptcy Court held a hearing to consider final approval of the Disclosure Statement and confirmation of the Plan on March 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. (CT).  On March 12, 2021, the Bankruptcy Court entered an order confirming the Plan.  On March 31, 2021, the Effective Date of the Plan occurred, and the Plan was consummated.

Deadline to File Claims

The Bankruptcy Court has set the following deadlines for filing proofs of claim against the Debtors:

• General Claims Bar Date:  December 10, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. (CT)
• Governmental Claims Bar Date: January 25, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. (CT)

Sale of Assets

On July 28, 2020, the Debtors filed a motion to sell substantially all of their assets.  On August 20, 2020, the Bankruptcy Court entered an order approving bidding and auction procedures in connection with such sale.  The Bankruptcy Court held a hearing to consider approval of the sale on September 29, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. (CT).  The Sale Hearing was held remotely using Microsoft Teams software as set forth in the Order Scheduling and Establishing Remote Hearing Procedures, ECF 491.  Please click below to view and download the Debtors' Sale Documents:
