Case Background

On November 21, 2020, Guitar Center, Inc. and 7 affiliated debtors (collectively, the "Debtors") each filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, Richmond Division.

Pursuant to an order of the Bankruptcy Court dated September 23, 2021 (Docket No. 137), the Debtors' cases are now closed.

Important Information & Dates

Plan and Disclosure Statement

On November 21, 2020, the Debtors filed a joint "prepackaged" plan of reorganization (the "Plan") and a proposed disclosure statement (the "Disclosure Statement").  On December 17, 2020, the Bankruptcy Court entered an order approving the Disclosure Statement and confirming the Plan, and the Effective Date of the Plan occurred on December 22, 2020.
