Case Background

On September 14, 2016 Golfsmith International Holdings, Inc. and 12 affiliated debtors (collectively, the "Debtors") each filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.  The cases are pending before the Honorable Laurie Selber Silverstein and are jointly administered under Case No. 16-12033.

Simultaneously with the commencement of these chapter 11 cases, Golfsmith’s non-Debtor Canadian affiliates operating as Golf Town have commenced a proceeding (the “CCAA Proceeding”) under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (the “CCAA”) in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) in Canada.  For further information regarding the CCAA Proceeding, please visit the CCAA Monitor’s website at http://cfcanada.fticonsulting.com/GolfTown.

Asset Sale

On September 14, 2016, the Debtors filed a motion to sell substantially all of their assets. On October 6, 2016, the Bankruptcy Court entered an order approving bidding and auction procedures in connection with such sale.  The Bankruptcy Court held a hearing to consider approval of the sale on October 24, 2016 and an order approving the sale of all or substantially all of the Debtors' assets was entered on November 2, 2016.  Click below to view the Sale Documents:
