Case Background

On March 9, 2020, Bluestem Brands, Inc. and 17 affiliated debtors (collectively, the "Debtors") each filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.  The cases are pending before the Honorable Mary F. Walrath and are jointly administered under Case No. 20-10566.

Important Information & Dates

Sale

On June 3, 2020, the Bankruptcy Court entered an order approving the bidding procedures in connection with the sale of all or substantially all of the Debtors' assets.

Please take note of the following important dates related to the sale:

  • Bid Deadline: June 22, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. (prevailing Eastern Time)
  • Auction: June 26, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. (prevailing Eastern Time)
  • Sale Objection Deadline: July 2, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. (prevailing Eastern Time)
  • Sale Hearing: July 7, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. (prevailing Eastern Time)

Plan & Disclosure Statement

The hearing at which the Court considered the adequacy of the Disclosure Statement on a final basis and the Confirmation of the Plan, which includes approval of the Sale of the Debtors’ Assets as contemplated by the Bidding Procedures (the “Combined Hearing”) was held on August 21, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. prevailing Eastern Time, before the Honorable Mary F. Walrath, in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, located at 824 North Market Street, 5th Floor, Courtroom No. 4, Wilmington, DE 19801.

Meeting of Creditors

In accordance with Section 341 of the Bankruptcy Code, a meeting of the Debtors' creditors was held on Monday, April 20, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. (prevailing Eastern Time).

Deadline to File Claims

The Bankruptcy Court set the following deadlines for filing proofs of claim against the Debtors:

  •  General Bar Date: April 29th, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. (prevailing Eastern Time) 
  •  Governmental Bar Date: September 7th, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. (prevailing Eastern Time)

First Day Hearing

A hearing on the Debtors' First Day Motions (the "First Day Hearing") was held on March 10, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. (ET) before the Honorable Mary F. Walrath, United States Bankruptcy Judge, at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, 824 North Market Street, 5th Floor, Courtroom No. 4, Wilmington, Delaware 19801.  A final hearing on certain of the First Day Motions was held on March 31, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. (ET).
