Case Background

On February 23, 2021, Belk, Inc. and 17 affiliated debtors (collectively, the "Debtors") each filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas. 

Pursuant to an order of the Court dated March 31, 2021 (Case 21-30630; Docket No. 181), the cases of Belk, Inc., Belk Department Stores LP, Belk Accounts Receivable LLC, Belk Ecommerce LLC, Belk Administration, LLC, Belk Gift Card Company LLC, Belk International, Inc., Belk Merchandising LLC, Belk Texas Holdings LLC, Belk Sourcing LLC, Fashion Holdings Intermediate LLC, Belk Stores of Mississippi LLC, Belk Stores of Virginia LLC, Belk Stores Services, LLC, Belk-Simpson Company, Greenville, South Carolina, Fashion Intermediate Inc., and The Belk Center, Inc. are now closed.

Pursuant to an order of the Bankruptcy Court dated July 20, 2021 (Case 21-30627; Docket No. 25), Bear Parent Inc. is now closed.

The cases were before the Honorable Marvin Isgur.
