Case Background
On May 4, 2016, Aéropostale, Inc. and 10 affiliated debtors (collectively, the "Debtors") each filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. The Debtors' cases are pending before the Honorable Sean H. Lane and are jointly administered under Case No. 16-11275.

Important Information & Dates
Closing of Sale Transactions:
On September 13, 2016, the Bankruptcy Court entered two orders approving the transactions contemplated by the Court-approved Asset Purchase Agreement between the Debtors and Aero Opco LLC and the Court-approved Agency Agreement between the Debtors, Aero Opco LLC, Hilco Merchant Resources, LLC, and Gordon Brothers Retail Partners, LLC, each dated September 12, 2016. The transactions closed on September 15, 2016.

Plan and Disclosure Statement
On December 14, 2017, the Debtors filed their Third Amended Chapter 11 Plan of Reorganization and the Disclosure Statement related thereto. On February 12, 2018, the Bankruptcy Court entered an order approving the Disclosure Statement. The Bankruptcy Court held a hearing to consider confirmation of the Plan on March 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. (ET). On March 30, 2018, the Bankruptcy Court entered an order confirming the Plan. On April 17, 2018, the Effective Date of the Plan occurred, and the Plan was consummated.

Bar Date for Filing Proofs of Claim
The Bankruptcy Court has set the following deadline for filing proofs of claim against the Debtors:
- General Bar Date (all creditors other than Governmental Units): July 25, 2016 at 5:00 PM (ET)
- Governmental Bar Date: October 31, 2016 at 5:00 PM (ET)
- Administrative Bar Date: December 13, 2016 at 5:00 PM (ET)

Aeropostale Canada Corp.
On July 18, 2016, the chapter 11 case of Aeropostale Canada Corp. was dismissed by the Bankruptcy Court. The dismissal order is available here.
